Gonzaga Prep controlled matters right from the start and held a one-goal lead at the break from a corner kick in the 34th. The service from Caylee Kerr found the head of centerback Keagan Austin, who nodded it down for the bouncing finish. In the second half Eastmont had a few counterattack opportunities that initially looked promising, but the defenders broke them up before Amelia Pielli was forced to really make a play as she had a relatively easy evening. With eight minutes remaining Ava Felice worked around a few defenders on the right flank and sent a low bouncing ball through the box that Jennah Wanner got her foot onto, redirecting it past the keeper for some insurance.
