Dueling Strikers
Carly Cross tallied a pair of goals in the opening nine minutes as Boise State jumped out to a three-goal lead in the first 21, but Maddie Morgan tallied back-to-back on both sides of the break to pull Eastern Washington back within one before Cross completed a hat-trick for insurance in the Broncos win with Kenzie MacMillan assisting on three. Morgan’s goals pushed her career tally to 22, one shy of third on the all-time list for the program.
Bengals Show Fangs
Idaho State finally got in the win column seven games in, winning at Wyoming courtesy of a pair of Kaylyn Buchanan goals in the final minute of the first half and the opening minute of the second.
Quick Start
Margo Schoesler and Alyssa Peters combined to set up Hannah Alfaro for the second fastest goal in Vandals history as Idaho scored on a play from kickoff just 20 seconds in and never looked back.
Stymied
After unbeaten starts Montana and Washington State both fell at home in 1-0 contests for their first losses of the season.
New King of Wins
An early goal gave Northwest Nazarene the advantage at Colorado Mesa, but six saves from Sawyer Price was the monumental performance of the night as the victory was his 28th, making him the new all-time program leader in wins. The previous leader was 2016 graduate Ryan Foo.
