Battle of Whits Splits
The Whitworth men opened up the day with a victory at home against eastern Washington rival Whitman, capitalizing on an initial two-goal lead courtesy, in part, to an own goal and saved penalty. However, the Blues made it a split on the day with a goalkeeping error seconds before the break allowing a long distance shot to upend the Pirates.
