GSL 2A Honors for Girls 2023 Announced

Having gone through the league season with a perfect shutout sweep it is no surprise that the top two award winners are representatives from the West Valley Eagles. Senior defender and sophomore Jenna Howe were recognized as the Defensive and Offensive MVPs from the GSL 2A.

Willis led a back line with goalkeeper Aubrey Lobdell (Second Team, Sr) that did not allow a single goal the entire campaign. Fellow senior Anastacia Thompson was also named to the First Team. You could argue the All-League First Team should have been loaded with Eagles, but as typical for high school awards the list is diverse with junior Ashlyn Chase and sophomore Claire Busse rounding out the WV contingent.

To no surprise junior Rebecca Skinner was on the First Team list for a third consecutive year out of Clarkston. She was joined by teammates Sienna Newhouse (Sr) and goalkeeper Eloise Teasley (Sr), one of two keepers selected along with Lillian Cobos (Pullman, Jr).
